A recreational and cordial gathering between the Awang Had Salleh Graduate School administrators and the PhD students of the school, was carried out at the foyer of the School of Computing, today. A total of 53 PhD students attended this rare function. AHSGS intends to carry out similar gatherings in future and plans to make this the gathering an annual affair. The gathering started off with aerobics exercises, followed by a speech from the AHSGS Dean, Prof. Dr. Norshuhada Shiratuddin and ended with group activities conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hisham Dzakaria.
In her speech, Pro. Dr. Norshuhada Shiratuddin, thanked the PhD students for their presence and hoped that this gathering will foster stronger relationships between the administrators and the students. She also announced that AHSGS will be launching the PhD students’ Mobility Programme overseas soon. The main aim of the mobility programme is to provide opportunities for the PhD students to share ideas in their respective fields of research as well as to create an international networking platform for them.
During the Question and answer session, the administrators were asked several questions pertaining to the students’ welfare. All the questions were provided with complete and very clear answers by the Dean herself.
