MSC-Media-Management

  • The aim of the programme is to produce graduates who can work independently, are skilled, competent, creative and innovative, with in-depth knowledge in their related multimedia studies areas of research and are able to contribute to the body of knowledge.

    At the end of this programme, students are expected to:

    1.Exhibit continued enhancement of knowledge and be able to apply theories and models related to the relevant areas of study.

    2.Synthesise knowledge to enhance the ability to make decision and solve problems creatively in various situations relevant to the areas of study.

    3.Exhibit high values and ethics in conducting the studies.

    4.Able to work independently.

    5.Communicate with experts and peers in the designated areas to spearhead advanced knowledge in research

    6.Be able to consolidate knowledge and manage information for lifelong learning

    Master of Science (Media Management) is offered in one mode:

  • i. Students must enroll and pass two prerequisite courses, ie courses SZRZ6014 Research Methodology and Academic Writing SCLE6014.

    ii. Students are required to present a research proposal on four (4) to six (6) months from the date of registration for approval before being allowed to start the study.

    iii. As with all research programs at Universiti Utara Malaysia, students are required to attend oral examination (VIVA) before their graduation.

    iv. Students who are successful in studies intended to be awarded a Master of Science-Multimedia Studies by Research / MSc. (Multimedia Studies)-By Research.
