AHSGS Online: AHSGS held a Golf Clinic activity at the National Golf Academy of Universiti Utara Malaysia, on 16 July 2020.
The aim of the activity was to provide knowledge and exposure to the game of golf to all Awang Had Salleh Graduate School of Arts and Sciences staff. Upon arrival, all staff were welcomed by the staff at the Golf Academy. The activity began with a short briefing by the Director of UUM National Golf Academy, Prof. Prof. Dr. Mohd Sobri bin Don @ A. Wahab and Deputy Director, Encik Mohd Rom Muslim.
Later, the coach, Encik Muhammad Wafiy Abdul Manaf took over with the learning session and proper golfing technique. Among those shared is the use of club where the length of the clubs determines the distance of shot in the green. The purpose of playing golf is to move from one hole to another with the least number of shots.
All the staff were excited and everyone too part in trying out their talent. The activity involved 20 staff including the Dean of AHSGS, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hisham Dzakiria, Deputy Dean Dr. Siti Nazuar Sailin and Senior Assistant Registrar, Encik Ahmad Mujahid Abd. Ghani.
