UUM ONLINE: Following the Covid-19 pandemic, Awang Had Salleh Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (AHSGS) recently conducted online registration and briefing to the new trimester 2020/2021 (A201) postgraduate students.
The dean of AHSGS, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hisham Dzakiria said, the session was attended by 182 local and international students.
According to the dean, AHSGS is very proud to receive postgraduate students in the new trimester, albeit the thread of Covid-19 in the country and throughout the world.
“Thank you for making UUM as your first choice to further your study and you have made the right decision.
“UUM is an institution that continues to grow establishing its’ ranking within the world’s institution besides offering competitive academic programme, providing the best learning experience in peaceful, scenic, integrated with technology for the campus residents,” he said.
He also said, AHSGS and all the Schools of UUM CAS will continue to assist and support the postgraduate students throughout their Master’s and PhD journey until they successfully completed their study.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Dean of AHSGS, Dr. Siti Nazuar Sailin said, the learning session for September 2020 trimester will be conducted online. The online classes have begun on 9 September 2020, coordinated by the respective School.
Students also listened to the postgraduate academic briefing by Dr. Siti Nazuar, followed by the learning support programme by the Director of Executive Education & Professional Development (EEPD), Dr. Manvender Kaur.
A total of 118 new students registered at AHSGS as of 10 September, representing 47 percent from the total 251 postgraduate students registered in UUM.
