UUM College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is a truly life-changing academic college. We have been providing higher education in this region since 1984 under the umbrella of Universiti Utara Malaysia and we are proud to be an innovative, accessible and inspirational academic college. With over 50 degree programmes at the undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate diploma and doctoral levels, including the doctor of management, there is something for everyone at UUM CAS.

UUM CAS offers a dynamic learning environment that inspires innovation, creativity and collaboration and is focused on candidate success. More than 450 distinguished scholars, researchers and expert teachers, with more than 60% holding PhDs or the highest degrees in their fields, make up the UUM CAS faculty.

With a diverse mix of expertise in the fields of Computing, Social Development, Multimedia Technology and Communication, Quantitative Sciences, Education and Modern Languages, as well as the General Studies, the UUM CAS aims to serve as a centre of excellence in the fields of arts and sciences, as well as to develop competent and committed human capital to drive forward the nation, and humanity, in tandem with the University's charter and philosophy.

Awang Had Salleh Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (AHSGS) is the graduate school responsible for managing programs under the UUM College of Arts and Sciences at the Sintok campus. AHSGS oversees programs across seven distinct schools:

1. School of Education

2. School of Computing

3. School of Applied Psychology, Social Work and Policy

4. School of Multimedia and Communication

5. School of Creative Industry Management and Performing Arts

6. School of Quantitative Sciences

7. School of Languages, Civilisation and Philosophy

These schools collectively offer a wide range of academic disciplines, providing candidates with comprehensive educational opportunities within a diverse and enriching environment.

To meet the growing demand in the education sector, programs offered by the UUM College of Arts and Sciences are also available at the UUM Kuala Lumpur Campus. This expansion allows more candidates to access and benefit from the diverse range of programs provided by the college.

These programs are accredited by the Malaysia Qualifications Agency (MQA) and approved by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia, ensuring their quality and recognition nationally.
